Seven miles from the city and set in 16 acres of stunning countryside, Herd Farm is a former working farm converted into a high quality, Award winning Grade II accessible residential & activity centre, serving Leeds schools for twenty years.


During the Covid-19 crisis we have adapted our offer to support Leeds schools in creating teaching areas supporting bubble groups in safe high quality teaching environments. Teachers may also access our stunning site and round houses as an extended classroom for all curriculum subjects helping maintain & improve pupil’s wellbeing.

Non-residential safe teaching spaces and other benefits?

LOCATION – North Leeds less than a mile from the main A61 Harrogate Road in Alwoodley.

PARENT DROP OFF/COLLECTION – Managed onsite parent/carer drop off & collection available

BUBBLE MODEL – Allocated group rooms access routes & outdoor areas ensure each group has break out areas but are kept separate during the day.

WIFI – Access to Leeds city council wifi.

BENEFITS TO ALL – Our 16 acres offers break out areas supporting pupil’s wellbeing whilst providing a therapeutic experience for all between teachings.

Activity sessions at Herd Farm – From £140 x 2 hour session. Select from one off visits, full activity day, group rotation or as part of your days curriculum teaching.

Lunch – ‘Grab & Go’ home made lunch @ £6.00 per head (minimum of 15) or pupils may bring their own
